Advice individual compensation for survivors of the Dutch Railways (NS) transportations during WWII

On Wednesday 26 June 2019, the Committee on Individual Compensation for Victims of WWII Transports by the NS provided the NS with its advice on the question of how individual compensation for survivors and next of kin of the NS transportations during the Second World War can be implemented.

Towards the end of November 2018, the NS decided to set up a committee to examine how individual compensation could be provided for survivors and next of kin of those who were transported by NS to concentration or extermination camps.

It is not possible to apply for an individual compensation yet, but NS is adopting the Committee's advice. The aim is for the Compensation Regulations to be published by 1 August 2019. All the information needed for an application will be made available on this website at that time.
