I can’t make an appointment for a DigiD video call. What can I do?

Try again on a Friday

Every Friday at 9.00 and 14.00 Dutch time, more than 700 appointment slots are released for the following week. Try again at those times.

Slots sometimes become available at other times, for example if someone cancels an appointment.

Attention: You can only make an appointment online. Do not call NetherlandsWorldwide. Staff cannot make an appointment for you.

You can activate your DigiD by collecting an activation code from a DigiD service desk in the Netherlands.

Activate your DigiD at a DigiD service desk in the Netherlands

If you receive an AOW state pension from the Netherlands, or will soon begin receiving one, you can apply for a DigiD via the Social Insurance Bank (SVB). In that case, you will receive your activation code by post at your address outside the Netherlands. You do not need to arrange a video call or go to a DigiD service desk.

Use an eID from another European country

If you have a recognised form of eID from another European country, you may be able to use it instead of a DigiD. In that case, you do not need a DigiD.
