Username
If you’ve forgotten your DigiD username you can look it up in My DigiD if you use the DigiD app.
If you’ve forgotten your DigiD username and you already use the DigiD app, you can look up your username in My DigiD.
Follow these instructions:
- Go to My DigiD.
- Log in using the DigiD app
- You will find your username under ‘With username and password’.
Password
If you have forgotten your password, you can restore your password in My DigiD using the DigiD app. Or by email and SMS message.
If you’ve forgotten your DigiD password, and you already use the DigiD app, you can reset your password using My DigiD.
Follow these instructions:
- Go to My DigiD.
- Log in using the DigiD app
- Under ‘With username and password’, click ‘More details’.
- Click ‘Change password’.
- Choose ‘I can't remember my current password and want to reset my password via the DigiD app’
- Click ‘Next’.
- Change your password.
If you don’t yet use the DigiD app, you can’t use this method to reset your password.
You can reset your DigiD password using a code that your receive by email and a code that you receive via SMS.
Follow these instructions:
- Go to DigiD Reset password.
- Fill in your citizen service number (BSN) and DigiD username. Read where you can find your BSN.
- Fill in the code you receive by email.
- Fill in the code you receive by telephone.
- Change your password.
Troubleshooting
If you cannot look up or reset your username and/or password, apply for a new DigiD. Your data will not be lost if you apply for a new DigiD.
