Legalisation of documents from Somalia for use in the Netherlands

It is currently not possible to have documents legalised in Somalia. Authorities in the Netherlands will assess and check your document.

Attention: If you want to use a Dutch document in Somalia, see Legalisation of Dutch documents for use abroad.

Having consular certificates from the Somali embassy in Brussels legalised

The Consular Service Centre in The Hague legalises consular certificates issued by the Somali embassy in Brussels.

Once your document has been legalised it is fit for use in the Netherlands.

It is then also fit for use in Aruba, CuraƧao, St Maarten, Bonaire, Saba and St Eustatius.

Attention: Certain consular certificates and declarations cannot be legalised by the Consular Service Centre. Therefore, email a scanned copy of the document to info.consulair@minbuza.nl. In your email, ask whether the Consular Service Centre can legalise your document.
