How can I continue to receive sickness benefit if I move abroad?
If you move abroad and want to continue receiving sickness benefit, in some cases you may be able to do so. Notify UWV that you are moving abroad no later than 2 weeks before your departure.

Whether you can continue to receive sickness benefit abroad depends on the country you are moving to. The Netherlands has agreements about this with a number of countries.

Reporting a move to UWV
Notify UWV that you are moving using the change of circumstances form if you receive a benefit from UWV (in Dutch). Do this no later than 2 weeks before your departure to ensure the form can be processed on time.
Fill in the following information on your form:
- your citizen service number (BSN)
- the date of your move
- your new address abroad
- your new bank account number abroad, if applicable.
Send the signed form to UWV by post using the address on the form.
