Applying for a Dutch academic title

You can apply for a Dutch academic title on the basis of your foreign qualification. But you must have this qualification evaluated first. Common Dutch academic titles include ingenieur (ir.), meester (mr.) and doctorandus (drs.).

Conditions

Your foreign diploma must be a recognised higher education qualification, and the programme you completed must be equivalent to a similar Dutch programme. The Education Executive Agency (DUO) is responsible for evaluating your qualification.
