Certificate of legal capacity to marry in Australia
Are you a Dutch national planning to marry in Australia? The Netherlands embassy in Canberra and consulate-general in Sydney do not issue a certificate of legal capacity to marry.
You can request a statement that you are not married through the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages of the Australian government. Each state has its own registry.
