When is proof of private accomodation needed?
Anyone who lives outside the Schengen area and who will be staying with you for 90 days or less will need proof of private accommodation.
If your visitor has less than €55 per person to spend for each day of their trip, they will also need a sponsor.

How can I provide proof of private accomodation?
You can provide proof of private accommodation for your visitor by completing the proof of private accommodation form of the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND).
By completing and signing the form you are declaring that you will provide your visitor with accommodation.
What should my visitor do with the form?
What your visitor does with the form depends on whether they need a visa to visit the Netherlands.
Take the form to your municipality so that your signature can be legalised. Then send the original form by post to your visitor.
Your visitor must apply for a visa within 6 months of when the form was legalised. Their trip can take place beyond 6 months away, however.
