EES

Are you travelling to the Netherlands or another Schengen country but not a resident of the EU? As of 12 October 2025 all Schengen countries will be using the new digital entry/exit system (EES). This system will be introduced in phases and will ultimately largely replace passport stamps.

ETIAS

Do you not need a visa for the Netherlands? You may require a travel authorisation to enter the Netherlands and other European countries for a short stay. You can apply online via the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS).
