Somali documents
To apply for a Dutch passport, you need documents.
Do you have Somali documents? Only documents issued by Somali authorities in Somalia or Somaliland are accepted. These documents are sent to the IND to check if they are genuine. This can take 6 to 9 months.
Warning: Please note: Consular statements issued by a Somali embassy are not accepted.
DNA testing
Have your documents been approved by the IND? Then a DNA test is still required. The embassy will contact you about this. You cannot start this examination yourself.
