How long is my Schengen visa for the Netherlands valid for?

Language selection:English

Your Schengen visa for the Netherlands states how long it is valid. And how long you are allowed to stay in the Netherlands and other Schengen countries with it.

Your visa's period of validity

Your Schengen visa is valid during the period specified by the dates ‘from’ and ‘until’. ‘From’ is the first day that you can use the visa to enter the Schengen area. ‘Until’ is the last day on which you must leave the Schengen area.

Attention: The period during which your visa is valid is not the same as how long you are allowed to stay in the Netherlands For example: If your visa is valid for 1 year, that doesn’t mean you are allowed to stay in the Netherlands for 1 whole year. On your visa, ‘duration of stay’ tells you how many days you may stay in the Netherlands.

Duration of permitted stay in the Netherlands

A short-stay Schengen visa lets you visit the Netherlands and other Schengen countries for a maximum of 90 days within a 180-day period. But it may be shorter for you. On your visa, ‘duration of stay’ tells you how many days you may stay.

Attention: You can only use your visa during its period of validity.
