Can I register my company or organisation for the Orange Carpet Visa Facility?
If you or your staff travel regularly to the Netherlands on business, check whether your company or organisation meets the conditions for the Orange Carpet Visa Facility. If so, you and your staff will be able to apply for a Schengen visa more easily.

You can register your company or organisation for the Orange Carpet Visa Facility if it meets the following 3 conditions:
- Your company or organisation does not engage in activities that are illegal under Dutch law. Or in activities or sectors mentioned on the Dutch Entrepreneurial Development Bank (FMO) exclusion list. See the exclusion list on the FMO website.
- Your company or organisation adheres to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Principles of Corporate Governance and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. You must sign a declaration when you register your company or organisation for the Orange Carpet Visa Facility. See the Principles of Corporate Governance on the OECD website.
- Your primary destination of business travel is the Netherlands. If it becomes clear that you have been using the Orange Carpet Visa Facility and your primary destination of travel is another Schengen country, your status may be withdrawn.
In addition, your company or organisation must meet 1 of the following conditions:
- Your company or organisation is Dutch and has a subsidiary in your country.
- Your company or organisation is headquartered in your country and has a subsidiary in the Netherlands.
- Your company or organisation is headquartered in your country and has a long-term and substantial business partnership with a Dutch company or organisation.
The Orange Carpet Visa Facility is not available in every country. Whether you can register depends on what country your company or organisation is located in.

If you meet these conditions you can register your company or organisation for the Orange Carpet Visa Facility. Your company or organisation must also meet the local conditions. These vary by country. The Dutch embassy or consulate-general will decide if you meet them. If your registration is approved, You and your staff will be apply to apply for a Schengen visa more easily.

If you do not meet these conditions you cannot register your company or organisation for the Orange Carpet Visa Facility. You must submit a regular Schengen visa application to travel to the Netherlands.

Advantages of the Orange Carpet Visa Facility
The Orange Carpet Visa Facility has a number of advantages. For example:
- You will not need to show as many documents when applying for your visa.
- Your application will receive priority processing.
- You only have to submit your visa application in person the first time you apply. If you apply for another visa within 59 months, you do not have to appear in person.
- In some countries, you do not need to make an appointment to apply for your visa. Or you can go to a VIP counter.
The Orange Carpet Visa Facility does not extend to your partner or children. They can apply for a Schengen visa for a different purpose of travel, such as tourism.
