Submit a complaint

We aim to provide the best possible service. But despite all our efforts, you may still not be satisfied with the service provided by a Dutch embassy or consulate or by the NetherlandsWorldwide contact centre. In that case you can submit a complaint.

Fill in the complaints form and send it by email to or by post to:

Attention: Include your email address and telephone number with your complaint so that we can keep you informed and contact you if we have any questions.

We will deal with your complaint as follows:

  • You will get an acknowledgement of receipt.
  • An official who was not involved in the matter of your complaint will deal with the complaint.
  • You can ask to provide an oral explanation regarding your complaint.
  • You should receive a response within 6 weeks.

National Ombudsman

If you are not satisfied with how your complaint was handled or with the response you received, you can submit a complaint to the National Ombudsman.
