PostNord mailing instructions
You can choose to have your new travel document sent to a post office near you. To do this, you can prepare an envelope with a postage label yourself. This service works best if you have the PostNord app. Always follow the instructions in the app; PostNord’s terms and conditions apply.
Instructions
- Open de PostNord-app.
- Select: Buy postage (Köp frakt). The destination country is Sweden.
- Select an option under ‘Delivery options’. We recommend choosing ‘Registered’ (Rek.). This letter can be tracked.
Select the maximum weight:
- If only your new travel document is being sent (for example, if your old one has already expired), select 100 g (1 passport).
- If both your new and old travel documents are being sent (your old travel document has not yet expired), select 250 g (2 passports).
- Do you have multiple travel documents that need to be sent? If so, estimate the total weight. A passport weighs approximately 40 grams. Allow for a margin of error and don’t forget to include the weight of the envelope.
Enter the name of the person to whom the letter is to be sent (yourself), the address, and how the recipient is to be notified (enter both the mobile number and the email address).
Then enter the sender’s details: Kungliga Nederländska Ambassaden. Götgatan 16a, 118 46 Stockholm.
Pay the postage in the app. The receipts and QR codes for the shipping labels that you need to print will be sent to the email address you provided.
You can print the shipping label later at a PostNord office. It is advisable to use padded envelopes for your parcel. Passports and ID cards must be transported with care.
Bring your envelope with the shipping label attached to the embassy.
