Applying for a passport or ID card at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport

If you live abroad and want to apply for a passport or ID card at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, you can do so at the passport desk of the municipality of Haarlemmermeer. Create your personal checklist and complete the questionnaire on the municipality of Haarlemmermeer’s website. The municipality will make an appointment with you to come to the passport desk at Schiphol.

Attention: It is not possible to apply for an emergency passport at the Haarlemmermeer municipal desk at Schiphol. The Royal Military and Border Police (KMAR) has a separate desk at Schiphol where applications should be submitted.Find out more about applying for an emergency passport

Create your checklist and collect your documents

Choose the country you live in and complete the checklist

Do not forget to download the checklist once you have completed it. You will need the checklist for your application.

Complete Haarlemmermeer municipality's questionnaire

Once you have collected all of your documents, complete the questionnaire on the municipality of Haarlemmermeer’s website (in Dutch). At some point during the questionnaire, you will be asked to upload your scanned documents and checklist.

The municipality will contact you

Once you have submitted the questionnaire and your documents, you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt. The municipality will check the information you provided in the questionnaire and your documents. Within 8 weeks you will receive an email containing a link you can use to make an appointment.
