What is benefit under the Work and Employment Support (Young Disabled Persons) Act?
Benefit under the Work and Employment Support (Young Disabled Persons) Act (Wajong benefit) is a form income for young people who have an illness or disability. If you live outside the Netherlands, you cannot apply for Wajong benefit. You may, however, be able to continue receiving Wajong benefit if you already have it and then move abroad.
Wajong benefit is paid by the Employee Insurance Agency (UWV).
Wajong benefit outside the Netherlands
If you live outside the Netherlands, you cannot apply for Wajong benefit. If you live in the Netherlands and already receive Wajong benefit, there are some cases in which you can continue to receive it if you move abroad.
