Contact details for Consular Section

Opening hours

Due to reconstruction work in and around the embassy, the consular section is relocated to the office of VFS Global Beirut.

For all consular services an appointment is required. Please note the days on which the embassy is closed.

Consular services during the Lebanese COVID-19 lockdown

From 11 January until 8 February 2021 the Lebanese authorities have imposed a 24-hour curfew and tightened its lockdown to combat the spread of COVID-19. Much to our regret, the embassy cannot receive consular applicants during this lockdown. We will resume scheduling appointments as soon as possible.

Lebanon has restricted land border crossings from Syria until 8 February 2021. We will give appointments to applicants from Syria as soon as entry for an embassy visit is possible again.

COVID-19 measures at the consular section

Please keep in mind that due to COVID-19 you cannot apply for everything yet. Or that there are fewer appointment slots available. For a visit to the consular section the following COVID-19 measures apply:

Passport and ID card, consular declaration and other consular services

Send an e-mail to get an apppointment.

Legalisation of documents or signature

Send an e-mail to get an appointment.

Schengen and Caribbean visa

Because of the (EU) entry ban it is not possible to apply for a Schengen or Carribean visa, unless you belong to an exempted category. In that case you can send us an e-mail. Read more in the Q&A's Travel restrictions for the Netherlands (EU travel ban).

MVV (residence visa)

Send an e-mail to get an appointment.

MVV Family reunification asylum (nareis)

Send and e-mail to get an appointment.

Appointments for applicants from Syria are scheduled in order of the date of MVV-approval (oldest approvals first). It does not differ whether you are still in Syria or already in Lebanon. We are now scheduling appointments for approvals issued in Week 28 (July) of 2020. Every week we will update this page.

We kindly ask you to not send repeated e-mails or e-mails from more than 1 e-mail address for the same person or family. This way you  prevent delay of our services.

Civic integration exam abroad

Send an e-mail to get an appointment.

DNA examination and identifying interview

Due to COVID-19 it is not possible to schedule an appointment.

Collection of documents (only on appointment)

For legalisation, consular declaration or MVV you will get your second appointment at the counter.

For a Dutch passport the embassy will send you an e-mail as soon as your document is ready.
