Applying for a long-stay Caribbean visa in Uganda

If you live in Uganda and need a visa to collect your residence permit for the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom, find out about the rules and how to apply.

Attention: You can only apply for a long-stay visa if you have also applied for a residence permit.

How much does a visa cost?

When you apply for a visa at a Netherlands embassy or consulate-general, you must pay a fee. You can find the fee here.

If you are applying through an external service provider, you will also pay a service fee.

How long does it take?

In most cases, you’ll be informed within 15 calendar days whether your application has been successful.

Do I need to submit my application in person?

You must always submit your application in person. Children under the age of 18 must also apply in person.

How to apply for a Caribbean visa in Uganda?

Visa applications can be submitted at the Netherlands visa application center (VAC) of VFS Global in Kampala. VFS Global is an external service provider. All applications will be sent to and assessed by the Consular Service Organisation (CSO) of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
