Applying for support by your municipality for reintegration into the labour market
Have you been out of work for a long time? Do you want to start working again? Your municipality can support you for your return to work. This is known as reintegration (re-integratie).
If you receive benefits from your municipality, this municipality will help you find a job. This support is provided in the form of training, work or guidance (in Dutch).
You cannot refuse the municipality’s support. If you do, the municipality may lower your benefits.

Applying for support by your municipality for reintegration into the labour market
If you are unable to find a job yourself, the municipality can provide support.
The municipality believes it is important that everyone works according to their ability and can provide for their own livelihood. However, it can sometimes be difficult to find a job (again). There could be several reasons for this:
- maybe you've been out for a while
- you have no relevant work experience
- or is there a work disability
Initially, you can do a lot yourself to find a job. If this does not work, the municipality can provide support.
