Applying for an allowance for own contribution to childcare costs in the Netherlands
Do you have a lower income and do you receive childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag)? Then you can apply for an extra allowance for your own contribution to the costs of childcare. You can apply for this at your municipality.
To be eligible for the extra allowance the following conditions apply:
- you must already be receiving childcare benefit from the Dienst Toeslagen;
- your (joint) income must not exceed the limit. Your municipality sets the maximum amount.

Applying for a childcare allowance
You can only apply for a childcare allowance if you live in the Netherlands and are registered at a municipality.
- You receive your childcare allowance from the Tax Department
- You, your partner and your child are registered at the municipality of Delft
