Applying for a business passport in the Netherlands

Do you hold Dutch citizenship? Do you travel a lot outside the Netherlands on business and get a lot of visas in your passport? If so, you can apply for a zakenpaspoort (business passport). Business passports have more pages and more space for visas.

You apply for a business passport at the municipality where you live. Do you hold Dutch citizenship but have no fixed address in the Netherlands? If so, you can apply for a business passport at a grensgemeente (border municipality). You can do this when visiting the Netherlands.

Business passport

A business passport is an ordinary passport, but with twice the number of pages: 64 instead of 32. This is useful if you travel regularly (business or private) and need extra space for customs stamps and visas.

All your travel documents: passport and/or identity card, valid or not valid. Has your travel document expired but do you have a valid driver's license? Then you also take the driver's license with you!
One matching passport photo in color that meets the passport photo requirements.
Your debit card (for your and our safety, please pin) or cash.

You apply for the business passport in person at the municipality in which you live. Make an appointment to apply for a passport:

You pay a fee for this service. For more information, contact the municipality.

After about a week, you collect the passport from the municipality. You have 3 months to collect your new passport.
