Dutch Risk Reduction Team assessed flood risks in Fiji
Upon request of the Fijian government, the Dutch Risk Reduction Team (DRR-Team) assessed the flood risks in Ba and Penang catchments in Fiji last August 2019.
On November 5th, Dutch Honorary Consul Roderic Evers handed over the final report with the recommendations to H.E. Dr. Mahendra Reddy, Minister of Waterways and the Environment. The findings of the DRR-Team were well appreciated and discussions have started with development partners for follow up.
The DRR-Team was set-up by the Dutch government and the water industry to respond swiftly and adequately to water issues around the world.
