Feyenoord Rotterdam to Conduct Business Event and Coaching Clinics in Korea
Feyenoord Rotterdam is coming to Korea. One of the big three in Dutch football and well known for having produced players like Georginio Wijnaldum, Robin van Persie and Giovanni van Bronckhorst, the Rotterdam outfit will send a delegation to Korea to meet with both the business and football community. With the support of the Dutch Embassy in Korea and local partners WeSport a business networking dinner will be organised in Seoul on the 3rd of December. Furthermore, Feyenoord is sending one of its international development staff to conduct coaching clinics for Korean football coaches of different levels from 5 to 7 December.
Feyenoord, former team of Song Chong-Gug and Lee Chun-soo, is known for its thriving academy and youth development system. In 2014 Feyenoord was recognized by FIFA as the number one club globally in talent development. Current Feyenoord head coach Dick Advocaat was Korea’s national team coach from 2005 and took them to the World Cup in 2006.
"We are very glad to be able to venture out to Korea", says Gido Vader, director of International Relations at Feyenoord. “It is a strong footballing nation, with an abundance of talent. There have always been strong ties between Korean and Dutch football. We want to renew the existing bonds and create new ones. We are certain that with our coaching development programs we can add specific value. Furthermore, we are eager to meet the business community as there are many opportunities for cooperation.”
