Netherlands Embassy hosts Junior Embassy Staff Event
On Friday the 23rd of November the Embassy of the Netherlands in Ireland hosted a networking reception aimed specifically at junior staff, interns and trainees from the different diplomatic missions and European institutes in Dublin. Young embassy staff members from all around the world joined together for some food and drinks and an overall night of informal networking.
Everything had been set-up for a fun evening of exchanging experiences among young staff members and interns from different backgrounds. Among those present were also employees of the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Eurofound and IIEA, as well as junior staff from over 15 different diplomatic missions. About 50 people turned out for this occasion. The evening was kicked-off with a word of welcome from Dutch deputy ambassador Peter Verheyen and a short interactive discussion led by Dutch interns Martin and Floris.
Quickly after, the guests were mingling and chatting, exchanging contact details, enjoying some Dutch beers, as well as playing some heated games of table football. After taking the time for a group photo, the guests went onwards to one of Dublin’s many pubs for what we’re sure was a memorable night. The Embassy is happy to have been able to host this event and wants to thank all the guests for their presence!
