Kingdom appoints Hans Philippo as new Honorary Consul in Cincinnati

The Kingdom of the Netherlands has appointed Johannes “Hans” Frederik Philippo (62) as Honorary Consul in Cincinnati.

Philippo is the president and CEO of Holland Roofing, a commercial roofing company with 26 offices throughout the Midwest region of the United States.

Mr. Philippo will help strengthen the economic ties between the United States and the Netherlands, and support the Dutch business communities in southwest Ohio, southeast Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. He will also help Dutch citizens in need.

The Dutch Consul General in Chicago, Louis Piët, hosted an event Aug. 24 to introduce Mr. Philippo to the Dutch and American communities in and around Cincinnati.

“Mr. Philippo is a successful entrepreneur with strong Dutch roots and 40 years of local experience,” said Consul General Piët. “He built his business from the ground up, and he has an extensive network of contacts throughout the area. I’m sure he will serve as an eminent advisor to small and medium enterprises that want to enter the market in this region.”
