Smart Industry Conference 2016

On the 14th of March 2016, the Slovak Ministry of Economy will organise the Smart Industry Conference. The event will focus on the benefits of smart technologies for the competitiveness of industry in the context of streamlining technological progress in Slovakia.

Moreover, the event will also introduce the concept of the Slovak Smart Industry. It will gather leading figures from public and private sectors, universities, NGOs, think tanks as well as international experts and influential innovators. The goal is to clarify the interconnectedness of industries and many factors that influence it.

The Smart Industry Conference will be divided into five specialized panel discussions, which will look at the different areas of the Smart Industry concept. There will also be room for debates about the transition from stream engine to cyber-physical systems; smart manufacturing; smart energy; as well as the role of data and government, which is an important element in shaping the future of smart industry.

After the conference, the Embassy will host a matchmaking reception at the Austria Trend Hotel, from 17:30 on. Representatives of a Dutch business delegation on Smart Industries will be attending, together with Embassy staff.
