12 September Multi-stakeholder meeting 'Climate Change Policy'

On September 11 and 12 a Dutch government delegation will visit Warsaw to engage with Polish ministries (and others) to discuss national and European climate and energy policies. On the second day of the visit (12/9) the Embassy organizes a multi-stakeholder event (including lunch) in which Niels Redeker, Director Climate Policy at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, will explain the coming about of the “National Climate Agreement”, which the Dutch government and its partners from public and private sector negotiated and presented recently.
There will be representatives from government, knowledge institutions, private sector, non-governmental organizations and embassies. If you are involved in climate and energy policies (profession or education) and interested to join, please register at email@example.com. Space is limited, so we may have to turn down some of you.

Topic: Climate and energy policies. The Dutch and Polish experience
Aim: The aim of the meeting is to discuss the climate and energy policies of the Netherlands and Poland, including the former’s National Climate Agreement. In an open debate we will focus in particular on the opportunities and risks, implementation issues, the tools and costs of climate policies, as well as their impact on the economy, the energy mix and doing business.
Time slot: 12.00-14.45
Location: Polityka Insight, Słupecka 6, entrance B
Format: 2 panels in the style of an interview/ panel discussion. Few mins per interview + Q&A session. The first panel with NL and PL government representatives, the second with representatives of NGOs, academics and business.
