Registering a divorce

Where you register your divorce depends on your situation.

If you got divorced in the Netherlands

Do you live in a municipality other than the one in which you got married? Then the registrar will inform your municipality of residence.

Do you need proof of your divorce? Then you can apply for an official copy of or excerpt from the divorce decree. You pay a fee for this service. For more information, contact the municipality from monday to friday between 09:00 - 17:00 at the following phone number: 0031 33 469 5111.
