Municipality of 's-Hertogenbosch: Paying the waste collection charge

Please note. You only pay afvalstoffenheffing (waste disposal charges) if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.

You pay waste collection charges when you use a property. With the proceeds, the municipality pays for facilities. These include the collection of household waste, VGF waste, waste paper, Small Chemical Waste, incineration of waste, use of the environmental stations.

There are different rates for waste disposal charges.

We reduce the waste disposal charges if you move house or go from a multiple-person to a single-person household. We also reduce the assessment in the event of death. You do not have to apply for this.

You usually receive the assessment at the end of February. There are several ways to pay the assessment.

If your income and assets are low, you may not have to pay the assessment.
