Applying for support by your municipality for reintegration into the labour market
Have you been out of work for a long time? Do you want to start working again? Your municipality can support you for your return to work. This is known as reintegration (re-integratie).
If you receive benefits from your municipality, this municipality will help you find a job. This support is provided in the form of training, work or guidance (in Dutch).
You cannot refuse the municipality’s support. If you do, the municipality may lower your benefits.

Help with finding a job
Please note: you can only apply for support to reintegrate into the labour market if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.
The municipality of Gooise Meren will provide you with support for getting back to work. You will receive guidance, training or courses. The municipality can also help you find somewhere to learn and gain practical experience.
If you receive benefits, we will invite you to an interview.
The purpose of the interview is to clarify your options for getting back to work as soon as possible.
Your consultant will discuss with you:
- The situation in the labor market
- What it takes to get a job in a particular industry
- Where you have the best opportunities
- You make arrangements with your counselor about how to approach your job search
- Are you younger than 27? Then we will record the agreements in a Plan of Action.
- Are you 27 or older? Then we will record the agreements in a Trajectory Plan.
