Applying for a personal budget (PGB)

If you need care or nursing due to illness or disability, or you need help at home, you may be eligible for a personal budget (persoonsgebonden budget – PGB). You can use this money to pay for your care needs. For example, you can hire someone to help you with your shopping or clean your house, or you can arrange for youth care services for your child.

Municipality of Laarbeek: Applying for a personal budget (PGB)

If you receive support from the Social Support Act, you can choose from two forms: care in kind (ZIN) or personal budget (PGB).
ZIN: you will receive support from the care provider or supplier with whom the municipality has a contract.
PGB: you receive support from a provider that you choose yourself. You buy in there. You conclude a contract yourself and pay this care provider. With a PGB, you also bear the administrative burden yourself.
