Applying for a parking permit

Do you live in an area where you have to pay to park your car or other vehicle? You can apply to the municipality for a residents’ parking permit (parkeervergunning voor bewoners). If you have a residents' parking permit, you do not have to pay for parking at the parking meter or via a parking app.

A parking permit is registered to a specified vehicle registration number. If you have more than 1 car or other vehicle, you must apply for a separate parking permit for each vehicle.

Parking permit for residents

Do you have a car and live downtown? Then you can apply for a parking permit. You do not have to use a parking disc every time. You can only get an exemption for the parking disc zone where you live.

There are conditions. These are, for example:

  • You are registered at an address in the waiver area.
  • The car is in your name (the license plate, or a lease or employer's statement).
  • You have no other option nearby to park your car.

Apply for the parking waiver with us. This can be done online. Please have your DigiD at hand.
