Applying for a noise permit for sports motorbikes
Do you expect your sports motorbike to make noise above maximum noise levels? For example, on a sports ground or at an event? If so, you must apply to your province for a noise permit for sports motorbikes (geluidsontheffing voor sportmotoren).
This is how it works for you
Here is some information from your province.
Motorbike noise nuisance
Are you planning to organise a competition on or along a provincial road or waterway? Or perhaps you’re thinking of organising an event that makes a lot of noise? If so, you’ll need to get our permission for this first.
The conditions vary from one situation to another.
You apply to the province for the exemption from excess noise.
If you have applied for a permit, in most cases the regular process applies. In this case you will receive the decision within 8 weeks from the date the Omgevingsdienst NHN received your application.
If you have applied for a permit, your application could go through one of two processes, as described below.
Regular process
- If you do not agree with our decision on your application, you can lodge an objection. You will need to do this within 6 weeks of the decision.
- If you disagree with the decision on your objection, you can lodge an appeal with the court within 6 weeks.
