Compensation amount
The additional compensation from the municipality is 4% of the hourly rate of the childcare.
Good to know
- The amount of compensation that you can receive is capped. The maximum rate in 2022 is:
- € 8.50 per hour for day care
- € 7.31 per hour for after-school care
- € 6.52 for childminder car
- Some childcare organisations have a higher rate. You will therefore not receive any compensation for the difference.
- There is also a maximum number of hours for which you can request the reimbursement. That's 230 hours per month per child.
- The maximum number of hours that you will be reimbursed for depends on the reason why you need childcare.
RSD will send you a letter within 8 weeks informing you whether you are entitled to the compensation for the personal contribution to childcare allowance. That letter will also state how long you will receive the contribution.
