  • You are under the age of 27, have no basic qualifications and are receiving support from the municipality to return to education.

You can get the allowance for the following types of childcare:

  • Day care in a crèche or nursery.
  • Out-of-school care for children aged 4 to 12.
  • Guest parent care. You can only receive an allowance for a childminder who is registered with a registered childminder agency.
  • Parent participation crèches where a group of parents take turns looking after their own children.
  • Own babysitter. The babysitter is registered as a childminder and you pay the babysitter in cash. You can arrange this through a childminder agency.
  • Toddler care for children aged 2.5 to 4 years.

You must meet the following conditions:

  • You receive childcare allowance from the Belastingdienst (Tax and Customs Administration).
  • You, your partner and your child are registered with the municipality of Tiel.

You send along with your application via My Allowances to the Tax and Customs Administration:

You can apply for the childcare allowance via My Allowances. You log in with your DigiD. You can also request the application form from the Tax and Customs Administration.

The municipality will send you a letter within 8 weeks informing you whether you are entitled to the compensation for the personal contribution to childcare allowance. That letter will also state how long you will receive the contribution.

Do you disagree with the decision? Then you can object within 6 weeks.
