Applying for an allowance for own contribution to childcare costs in the Netherlands

Do you have a lower income and do you receive childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag)? Then you can apply for an extra allowance for your own contribution to the costs of childcare. You can apply for this at your municipality.

With a low income, it is often difficult to make ends meet. You can apply for extra money for yourself and/or your family members at Avres. Avres has various arrangements to support you financially. You can read more about special assistance here: https://www.avres.nl/extra-vergoedingen

Parents who want to send their child to the toddler care (2 half-days per week) and are not entitled to childcare allowance can claim a subsidized toddler play area from one of our subsidized toddler care providers in the municipality of Molenlanden. Parents still pay an income-dependent own contribution.
