Applying for a business passport in the Netherlands
Do you hold Dutch citizenship? Do you travel a lot outside the Netherlands on business and get a lot of visas in your passport? If so, you can apply for a zakenpaspoort (business passport). Business passports have more pages and more space for visas.
You apply for a business passport at the municipality where you live. Do you hold Dutch citizenship but have no fixed address in the Netherlands? If so, you can apply for a business passport at a grensgemeente (border municipality). You can do this when visiting the Netherlands.

Applying for a business passport
Please note: you can only apply for a zakenpaspoort (Dutch business passport) if you live in the Netherlands and are registered with a municipality.
Apply for a business passport by visiting the Gemeente Loket (Municipal Service Desk) in person. Please make an appointment :

Urgent requests
A spoedprocedure (urgent procedure) is available if you need your business passport urgently. Submit your application before 14.00 on a weekday to receive your business passport within 2 working days, though a surcharge will apply. Please allow for delays if you no longer have your old business passport.
Get your passport immediately
In urgent cases where you need your business passport immediately (on the same day), you may qualify for an emergency passport from the Koninklijke Marechaussee (Royal Netherlands Military Police). You will find more information on the defensie.nl website.
2023 fees
The cost of a Dutch business passport is €75.80.
A surcharge of €51.60 applies if you need your passport urgently.
After 7 days, your passport will be ready for collection at the GemeenteLoket during opening hours. You have 3 months to collect it.
Validity
A business passport is valid for 10 years.
