If you live outside the Netherlands and have to travel a long way to apply for a passport or ID card, find out if a team from the embassy or consulate-general will be visiting your region. If so, you will be able to apply for a passport or ID card closer to where you live.
How does it work?
Embassy or consulate-general staff sometimes visit other regions. This may be a region closer to where you live. You can make an appointment to apply for a passport or ID card when they visit, instead of having to travel to the embassy or consulate-general. This will save you time and money.
What does it cost?
The overview of consular fees tells you how much you will have to pay for a passport or ID card and which payment methods are accepted. There is an additional fee of € 23 if you apply for a passport or ID card when an embassy or consulate-general visits your region.
Where and when?
Check below whether you will be able to make an application in your region. Select a country to see where and when you can make an appointment.
