The conditions for an Orange Carpet procedure also vary from country to country. You will need to show why you travel frequently for your work. The embassy decides whether you meet the local conditions.

Who can use the Orange Carpet Visa Facility?
The Orange Carpet programme is mainly for staff of companies with current or future economic interests in the Netherlands. But the same conditions and benefits can also apply to other types of organisations (cultural, scientific, government) and individual travellers.
Collect first visa in person
The first time you apply for a visa you must go to the embassy or, if relevant, the visa application office in person, so your fingerprints and photo can be taken.
Visa through another embassy
You may need to go to the embassy of another Schengen country for a visa, for example because there is no Dutch embassy in your country. You might still be eligible for an Orange Carpet visa. But there could be fewer services available.

How to apply for a short stay visa in Iran?
Visa applications have to be submitted at the VFS office in Tehran.
Appointments have to be made via the website of VFS Global in Tehran.
It is very busy with visa applications. This will result in longer waiting times before you can schedule an appointment to submit your visa application.
Important: appointment slots at the embassy are not interchangeable. Did you, for example, make an appointment for a consular statement or a passport, while in fact you want to apply for a short-stay visa? Then you won’t be able to submit your application at the embassy on that date. In that case, you will have to schedule a new appointment with VFS Global via the online appointment system of VFS Global in Tehran. You will have wait and submit your visa application at the date of your new appointment at the VFS Global office in Tehran.
Collection of your document
You can collect your passport with the receipt of your visa application at the VFS Global office 15 days after submission.
Negative decision on your visa application
If the decision on your visa application is negative, your passport will be returned to you with a letter stating the reason(s) for the negative decision. You will be requested to sign for the receipt of this letter.
Please read the letter carefully as it also contains information on the possibility to object to a negative decision. An objection is lodged in the Netherlands at the Ministry of Justice.
