On holiday in India

Are you coming here on holiday? You want to be well-prepared. For a safe, enjoyable stay in India, read coming to India before you set off.

Civic integration

The Consular department is also responsible for the civic integration exam (website is only available in Dutch) which you need to take before you can apply for authorisation for temporary stay (MVV) in the Netherlands or a residence permit for the purposes of family reunification. In India, however, you can arrange to sit the exam through the embassy in New Delhi ONLY.

DigiD

As Dutch citizen, you can apply for a DigiD online. You have to, however, retrieve your activationcode in person. This can only at a limited amount of embassies and not in India.
